In just a few decades, China has completed the industrialization process that took developed countries hundreds of years. However, it has also encountered some ecological environmental problems.
"Promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature" is one of the essential requirements for modernization. Previous geologists took pride in prospecting and mining. Through exploration and investigation work, they searched for the potential and distribution of mineral resources, providing vital basis for the development and utilization of national resources. Their efforts have provided abundant mineral resources such as metal ores, coal, oil, and natural gas to various industries, supporting industrial production and infrastructure construction. It not only meets the country's economic needs but also achieves enormous economic benefits.
With China's increasing emphasis on the ecological environment, the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as good as mountains of gold and silver" has been deepening. Many previously established mines are undergoing transformation and development. Geologists are now paying more attention to environmental protection and sustainable development. Through scientific exploration and mining planning, they protect the integrity and stability of the ecosystem. Geologists have realized the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development, changing their mindset, actively taking environmentally friendly measures, and adopting advanced technologies and methods to minimize disturbance to the natural environment.
Firstly, geologists focus on using non-invasive techniques in exploration and investigation. They employ remote sensing technology, geophysical exploration, and geochemical analysis to comprehensively study the distribution and potential of mineral resources on the surface and underground.
Secondly, geologists have implemented a series of environmental protection measures during mining. They reasonably plan the mining methods of mines, use advanced mining techniques and equipment to reduce land destruction and water pollution.
